Johnny Karp 12154 Posted February 5, 2014 I know it was called "beano" before but I don't know how it became "bingo". Quote Share this post Link to post
Lootva 974 Posted February 5, 2014 I know it was called "beano" before but I don't know how it became "bingo". Johnny beat me up to this one. Let me just say that the beano name was introduced because they used beans to cover the called numbers. The story goes that once, someone got really excited and instead of shouting Beano! said Beango, people liked it, and the rest is history... 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
lipstick 14304 Posted February 12, 2014 Yay Beano is the correct answer! You guys are just too sharp.........wink! Ok here is one that will stump you...........on second thought maybe not! Q: How far can Bingo be traced? 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
fried-eggs 446 Posted February 13, 2014 Beano is so cute! Hmmm, I'm gna go with the 1500s and ill just throw in that is was started in England somewhere. I could just see it being played in there fabulous castles as Queen Elizabeth walked the halls. Quote Share this post Link to post
lipstick 14304 Posted February 13, 2014 You are partially right! It does date back to the 1500's but not in England. Anyone no where? Quote Share this post Link to post
Markotik 4920 Posted February 13, 2014 Hmm.... 1500s? I'd go with Italy or France. Am I close? Quote Share this post Link to post
