    Hi LBB’ers,

     

    Cecily Gaunson turned 100 years old on New Years day. She calls numbers 3 times a week in a bingo hall in New South Wales, and loves to entertain the crowd with jokes in between calls.

     

    She attributes her longevity to the fact that she never smoked and staying active is the key. Her advice, "Just keep active and keep doing whatever you do. Don't sit home and mope," she said.

    I have the highest respect for the elders in my family, community and around the world, they are the most knowlegeable, the wisest, courageous and most valuable, i love listening to their stories they tell, they endured and persevered so much in the world.
