71 year old Bingo Caller gets Banned!!!

Hi Members,

A 71 year old Patricia Brown got banned to call the bingo numbers for a month!! In between announcing the next number.....she added a little spice to the game by telling some dirty jokes.

She has been a member of the club where they play bingo for 25 years. A committee member happen to be sitting in the audience and complained about her sense of humor and found it inappropriate.

Patricia was very upset and said she would be missing out on all the fun with her friends over the holiday season. The disabled caller who does not get a chance to go out much found it unfair as they are all adults!!

Do you think telling dirty jokes is inappropriate while playing bingo? Was a month ban justified?

I think it was an overkill for the situation, dirty jokes are no big deal unless others have complained prior and she was at least warned beforehand.

I don't know if she was warned or not. The bad thing was the president of the club was sitting behind her. I guess he had to represent..........

Well....elder people do tend to be a little anal and often find sexual remarks very offensive....I guess she could be thankful she wasn't banned from the bingo hall altogether!!    [no offense to any of you older folks that might be reading this]

I believe there's 2 types of old people...really sweet & cute, or really nasty and mean. Obviously, she was a cute one, outnumbered by old meanies. Awh, poor old lady. :'(

I GUESS A "BINGO HALL" MIGHT NOT BE THE APPROPRIATE PLACE FOR "DIRTY JOKES" BUT A MONTH OFF SEEMS A LITTLE HARSH.

Always a warning first,  written or verbal . 

That's what I thought, maybe in the world of "Bingo" they have different rules.
