  • is now under investigation by the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) after a single complaint. It is amazing with this agency because it literally takes one person to complain and they are on it like white on rice!

The complaint is that the actresses appear to look under the age of 25 and it will appeal to underage players. What do you think?

  • It's ridiculous. The blonde certainly looks several days over the age of 25. You don't get breakage on your hair that badly unless you're at least 25. I saw a few crows feet on the brunette.

I read that the ASA reviewed the claim and found no violations.

  • Stupid.  And with a big 18 and over disclaimer on the commercial, it's not realistic to think this will appeal to underage players.

  • Ridiculous!  I'm surprised they bothered with only 1 complaint.

Some people have nothing better to do than to find something to complain about.

  • This is very stupid, indeed. That's a waste of time and money and it was one single complaint. Very stange, I don't like this at all.

  • I can think of a lot more adult commercials that I *know* appeal to younger, underage audiences.  Many many more.

  • I can too chilly. Way too many to count that appeal to kids. I think anything that is adults only appeals to kids. We all wanted to grow up so fast.

Just a side note. OMG I saw a commercial on TV last night for a Trojan vibrator. I was shocked. I wonder how many kids were asking Mommy and Daddy what that was.

  • Let me start by saying you're right about that breakage froggy. I struggle to find anything about that bingo commercial that would warrant a report to the ASA. Ha a trojan vibrator lolololol. I'd have to pick my jaw up off of the floor if I had seen that one.

  • I remember when tv couldn't even show two people in the same bed.  My brothers used to run up to the tv pretending to look down on the actress in a commercial for shampoo.  All they showed was her foamy head.

Young imaginations run deep.  But what could they be seeing in that Robin Hood commercial to stir things up?  You've got me.

  • Gosh shampoo commercials have changed quite a bit. The woman are practically having orgasms from the aroma of Herbal Essences LOL

  • I don't think even my imagination is up to predicting what will be on TV commercials when my grandkids are grandparents.  Will there even be a TV anymore?  oh man...

  • I've tried to imagine the same thing chilly. We've got Trojan, the monthly gift commercial (is that Tampax?) and so many other crazy things on TV. Who knows what's next. Yet the USA still censors bad language. Go figure.
