  • Hiya Bingo buds,

I have to admit i was never a big bingo player land based or online. I always had the mentality that bingo was for blue haired ladies with bad perms. Because of that i never took a lot of interest in even checking out online bingo.

It took working here at LBB to walk away with a completely different perspective. To be honest i really didn't think i would like bingo period when i first started playing online. Oh boy did i make a 360 degree turn on that!

I am a slot lover by nature and what i didn't realize is there is full casinos at most of these bingo sites. Not to mention tons of free no deposit chips and free trials that in today's climate are almost becoming obsolete in online casinos.

Also i realize that i get more bang for my buck playing bingo with a much greater chance of winning with my only odds being the number of players in the room.

I was surprised in myself that not once but three times i went to play bingo while i was in the UK and i loved it! And ya know what - there was not a blue haired, perm granny to be found! Ahhh i know one day i will be one too but at least maybe i will dye my hair pink!!!!

Why do you like bingo or have you even given it a try yet?

  • Hi Lips,

I was once like you, a slot lover until one weekend there were no free chips to be claimed in any of the online casinos, so I decided to check out the exclusive ndb bingo section and started signing up. To my surprise these bingo sites were fun. the challenge with slots was always to hit the big one, but with bingo, its the challenge of getting all the numbers on your cards.

I am now more addicted to bingo then slots.

  • I was not a born lover of bingo either. You've got another slot lover right here and bingo was an acquired taste for me. 90 ball bingo is the only way to go in my book. You've got three chances to win. Oh and when I saw that you can play slots right in the bingo room, that sealed the deal!

  • I was a bingo lover back when my kids were little. That was my way of getting out of the house to unwind since I was a stay at home mom. Now, they are grown and I despise land based bingo. I have learned to enjoy it all over again here, online. I'm like froggy, gotta love the 90 ball.

  • Oh eyesofgreen i bet you would love the bingo halls in the UK. They are totally different then what we are used to in the states. Oh my i am assuming you are from the US maybe you are not  :-[

The states could really use some revamping and change the whole persona of bingo.

Lucy - I agree with ya girl! Online is definitely fun and very relaxing. I don't feel like i am losing my money as fast either especially when i play bingo.

  • Yup, in the good ole US.  I know I would truly enjoy bingo in the UK! I was so jealous of you getting to play there  LOL  I loved reading about your experience there at the bingo halls. Maybe you and I could open up, here in the States, a 90 ball bingo hall. You'd hafta run it alone cos I'd be too beezee playin  ;)

Oh, I'm gonna ask this here cos I didn't want to interrupt your landmark bingo blog. Where is the slot 'show me the money'??? I have looked n looked and cannot find it!

  • Hi eyes,

That sounds like a plan i am in! But we could always hire a bingo caller right and we both could play  <3 <3

The Show Me the Money slot is tricky to find. When you pull up the "Slots" tab it does not appear on the page. What you need to do is click on a slot and exit back out by clicking  the "Lobby" tab there is a different format displaying slots.....

Good luck if you play and let us know how ya did!

  • We played bingo as kids with a homemade kit that we still have to this day.  All the numbers are little squares of brass with the numbers created by punched joined dots (if you know what I mean).  The cards are made of wood and the pegs to go in the wooden cards are made of brass too.  I think my grandfather or great grandfather made it so amazingly, bingo is in my blood (although long forgotten by me).  I used to go to land based bingo many times with friends but stopped going when the bingo hall nearest to me closed down and like you Lips, never really played much online bingo until LCB/LBB.

I do enjoy the excitement of online bingo when I want one or two numbers (I actually shout at the computer!)   There is one aspect of bingo I do enjoy too and that would be the chat but not at UK sites, only mainly USA sites.  Of course, I can't let the opportunity pass to say that I just LOVE LOVE LOVE  the slots at Jackpotjoy

  • In Texas gambling of any kind was illegal for so long, but at fairs and sometimes churches, they could have bingo.  The lure of winning money was strong.

I have gone to some bingo parlors in San Antonio, and, while I had a good time, it wasn't really THAT good, 1, because I didn't win, 2, because there were lots of strangers who looked dangerous.  Probably weren't, but you know...

I greatly prefer the bingo in the small town, at the church sponsored yearly fair.  It's outside, you get to sit at a picnic table and drink your beer.  Everyone is looking poor and needy and not too many look greedy.  There's no segregated room for smokers, no confusion over so many pull tab side games, I can understand the caller.  Get to use the little slider cards, games are cheap, it's all FUN!

  • Hi Lips..

Well, I won the $8 free bingo game in Landmark so, I decided to try my hand at 'show me the money". I started betting .25 cos I'm cheap. I won $1.25 twice, got down to $2 and quit. I needed some to play bingo with...lol. I'll try it again if I ever get my funds back up, way up  ;)

  • awwwwwwwww eyes i wish you could of done better! Thanks for coming back and sharing your experience with us. Hopefully we will get another free chip soon  ;)
