People who play bingo games could have a crime-stopper in their midst following the brave attempts of one woman.
Footage of an elderly lady confronting a group of armed robbers has become a huge hit on the internet and the Sun has revealed the lady involved was Ann Timson.
The brave grandmother was stated by the newspaper to be a bingo caller and went on to nicknaming her Supergran in recognition of her actions.
An onlooker filmed the events outside a Northampton jewellery shop, which saw a group of men on mopeds attempting to smash the front of the shop and steal the gems displayed in the window.
But the ex-marker trader, who also suffers from arthritis, ran to stop the robbers in their tracks, hitting them with her handbag and forcing them to flee the scene empty-handed.
"I'm not a hero, but somebody had to do something," said the courageous pensioner.
She is also a member of her local neighbourhood watch scheme, with one neighbour telling the newspaper: "She's our very own crime-buster. She's lovely, but won't stand for any nonsense."
Bingo players seem to be a plucky lot recently, as the South Wales Argus recently reported that Lyndon Wright of Newport was back playing games again soon after suffering a heart attack at his local club.
