  • Hi LBB'ers,

I've come across a couple of gambling sites, including bingo, that advertise themselves as gay sites. The most recent is a new site called Fierce Bingo. This site in particular claims to be a new way for you to meet other members of the LGBT community.

On the online casino side, there's GoldenBoysBet.

Gay or straight, I think Bingo Flirt has  a similar concept whereas players can choose another player to win along with them. That's one helluva flirt!

I think it could be a fabulous way to meet people. Do you think that playing online bingo is a good alternative to your average online dating sites or bars? At least you start off with one thing in common besides being single!

  • It certainly does seems to be a great way to meet a love interest when it is tailored made for a your sexual preference as in the gay community. Unless the bingo site is specifically geared and themed as a romantic haven i don't think it is the ideal spot because for the most part the majority of players are in it to win it.....bingo that is.

On the other hand there has been reports of players meeting in bingo chat rooms and ultimately end up getting hitched so it's not impossible.

Bingo sites certainly have the tools to create an atmosphere and ambiance for hot steamy romances! It think it would be a fantastic way to draw in singles.

  • Ladies I suppose its not a bad idea but not for me. Dating websites at least have some information on the singles. Then again they could just lie. ah well you are right at least they have something in common.

  • I think it's a great alternative.  Definitely a lot safer.

  • My best friend is gay and I can't imagine him playing at any of these sites to meet anyone. He loves to gamble but I do not see him mixing it with online dating. Being straight I'm not sure that I could either. When I play bingo or whatever I want to be left alone! lol

  • I know what ya mean. I can get lost in my own world too. You never know, not everything is for everyone but there must be some people willing because these sites are taking off.

  • I took a look at a couple of them and they look like a blast. Sent the link to my bestie too.

  • Im not really for an online dating and never was, so Im not for a dating on bingo room either. Wouldnt mind meeting a beautiful lady in a land based bingo hall though :D

  • It definitely works for some people. Bingo certainly can be an alternative but how successful it is, that surely depends on a winning or a losing streak. :)

  • I guess it could work (but then again, I've seen weirder things work too :) but it's just not for me. I still prefer face to face communication, at least when I'm not gaming.

  • I wonder if these sites will post "success" stories. I'd love to read them.

  • the numbers vary depending on the study, but in some, almost 1/2 of current couples have met online, and almost all are over 15%

meeting someone in the 'real' world is all fine and dandy, but not always easy..dating at work has many pitfalls and some companies heavily discourage it and bars, while a common fall-back, are fraught with problems too (especially if youre past your twenties).

Through friends is grand, til you part ways. On the street, in a busy world is hard.

I don't think there's anything wrong with dating online, providing youre smart about it

Besides, why be  with someone only to find out, really, youve nothing in common...cross those bridges first when dating online.

If casinos and bingo are your thing, then why not, you have an immediate common interest...so, be it the forum (here), or for pets, cars, sports, gambling, whatever, again, why not?

(btw, I'm currently in a 4 yr relationship made online)

  • I just thing it's a bit different to meet someone online and to meet someone in an online Casino. Since most of the communication goes through Internet, it is really no wonder that most people get together that way. Then again, those who visit online Casinos are not there primarily to meet someone, right? Also, not really sure how much would I like to actually hook with someone who likes to frequent casinos as much as I do!

  • I think it is a great idea. You actually get to get a feel for what the person is like and you'll already have something in common. The bar scene can get pretty old, I wouldn't have a problem giving it a go.

  • I think having a bingo site it is particularly a good for the gay community. The reason is i think it can be more difficult to hook up than it is in the straight world given the gay community is smaller. As far as online dating in general is concerned i think it wide open for any sexual preference.
