lol, oh, being gay and hooking up is easy..if it's sex you're after..remember, generally, it's the girl who puts on the brakes, and any guy who says he is ok waiting, is being nice to get into her pants down the road....when you get 2 guys together, it's boom badda bing first date

now finding a partner, equal, friend etc is MUCH harder..that's why forums and dating sites are nice because you can discuss interests and intent beforehand.

I think the chances of meeting that perfect someone on a bingo site or gambling site are slim to none and the stories of such have to be false.

 

But, if you have enough people with the same likes, interests, etc is personalized rooms the chances go up exponentially. :D I tried out FierceBingo - pretty cool site from all outward appearances. I do have to say I don't think the chat room offers anything out of the ordinary in terms of chatting - but I do notice they mention a private chat room for this in the future - which I personally cannot wait for as chat rooms not on the network must have more free form chat.

I think our wires got crossed here. When i said "hook up" meant long term relationship and couldn't agree more with what you said.

Lol, no, no wires crossed, I knew you were referring to relationships; I was further discussing hooking up for sex vs hooking up for dating, - that's why I mentioned both

Personally, though I see its merits, I doubt I would myself use a gay -centric site. Probably same reason I don't go to gay bars....the 'sense' of hope or intent to meet, date, hook-up, whatever, may overshadow the other reasons for being there...entertainment, relaxing, interacting..that shadow that hangs over it. So while I might be looking for like-minded people, others might be too keen or focused on one area.

If I were single, I might give it a go...for the sake of giving it a go. ? As a haunt, nah. I wouldn't disparriage others who used it. As I said, it has its merits, and the option is certainly nice. Just me personally, probably wouldn't use it.
