Bingo Free For Hospital's Royal Wedding Celebrations
Bingo games will be played on the royal wedding day.
People staying in one hospital on the day of the royal wedding will still be able to have fun as they will have the chance to play bingo free and eat party food.
The elderly patients in ward 20 of South Tyneside's District Hospital will still be able to get into the party spirit as the sisters have organised a street party they can enjoy from the comfort of their own beds.
In anticipation of the big day, the Shields Gazette reported that nurses Pat Alford and Sharon Rafferty and ward manager David Shell have already been putting up bunting and flags to get everyone into the party spirit.
And to continue the festivities of the day long after Prince William and Kate Middleton have said their vows, the staff will be playing bingo games with the patients, as well as holding a raffle to raise funds for the ward.
Ms Alford said many of the people on the ward remember the past royal weddings and even the queen's coronation.
"It will be lovely for the patients to gather around the TV and watch this latest occasion in royal history," she added.
The say promises to be so much fun, some staff are even coming in on their day off.
