The belching sweater train lady - what was she saying to the pictures?
I couldn't make it out and believe me I tried.
LOL - I can visualize you leaning in the woman's direction straining hard to hear what she was saying and cursing anyone who was near you and talking.
I gotta say too Froggy, you got guts to go to bingo on your own. You're a very brave woman!

HI Bingo Tarts!
I was a bingo tart myself this afternoon. It was free bingo day and somehow I managed to spend £16 on my tickets. I had to have the electronic machine. I think it gave me 3 1/2 books vs. just the one. Long story short, I didn't win diddly squat. I wasn't even in the running for a line win. It was pathetic and I'm a little irritated.
Now MIL on the other hand. She had a horseshoe or some kind of lucky charm up her butt. She won like 3 times and even won on the party bingo. She played one free book and she traded up for for higher prizes. If you pay £5 on a free day you get double the prizes. So, that's what she did. I was happy for her, of course, but aren't we all entitled to a bit of self pity???
I guess it just goes to show ya that when it's your time, it's your time. Spending more doesn't guarantee luck.
Now to decide if I should play Friday night or Sunday night. So many decisions so little time... What the heck, maybe both.

I assume you have to queue up to get your tickets Froggy? If that is the case, then make sure you buy yours when your MIL would normally buy hers i.e. by being in front or behind her in the queue (depending on where you normally stand of course).
I can understand the frustration though. Better luck next time.

Well, it's all down to luck. She was just a lucky lady yesterday.
They have new games now including the Double Bubble, Lucky Star and a special ticket game with massive jackpots. If you call in 40 numbers or less on the special game ticket you win 20 grand, 44 numbers is 5 grand, then £750 followed by the regular prize which ranges from £120-£260 or so. No more High 5.
MIL is off to Gibraltar on November 7th. I believe she will go up against the UK including the Gala online players. She received a letter recently regarding the activities. Apparently bingo is different at the Gala in Gibraltar. You can play at all hours and they have £40 sessions. The houses are much bigger. Well they better be for that price. Good luck to her and her quest to become the Ultimate Bingo Champion 2011. She could win £20,000 and a trip to Las Vegas.
