  • You love to play Bingo but do you know your bingo trivia?

We are going to put you to the test!

Q: Who invented the first Bingo card combinations and how many different card number combinations were initially invented? Rumor has it this person went insane afterwards!

  • I would have to google the answer so I'm going to wait in case someone smart LBB'er already knows the answer  ;)

  • I have no idea :)

  • Amazingly enough Lips - I was looking at bingo trivia yesterday and I recall it was 60,000 combinations or it could be 6000 - one of the two I'm sure.

  • This should be interesting.... I don't have any idea about that stuff.  :-[

  • I have absolutely no clue about that! But would like to hear the answer!

  • Hmmm, key is they went insane. This is probably way off the wall but I'll take guess, Van Gogh and 5 combos?

Yay blue! It's 6,000 and Carl Leffler created the first combination of cards.

    Ok here is another one.

Q: What do they call Bingo in Australia?

  • I didn't have the idea that they call Bingo differently in Australia! I love this thread!

  • Hmmm, I actually thing I know this one! Housie? I worked with a guy from Australia and I think I heard him say it a time or two.

You could be right fried-eggs.  I'll go with housie too.

  • Hmm.... That's interesting. I have to admit that I've never heard of Housie before.

  • Soooo, they shout Housie instead of Bingo??

Yess you are right! It's called housie in Australia!

Since we are on a Australia kick here is one that is pretty easy..........let's see who can guess it first.

What are Slots called in Australia?

  • I really enjoy this thread! Didn't know that Aussies have special words for Bingo and now Slots!

    Maybe Slotie :)
