Would this make you more interested in Bingo?

Rank Group, owner of Mecca Bingo, is trying to attract younger players. In fact, they hope to draw in young men to play bingo. To accomplish this, Mecca has opened a bingo club featuring electronic bingo only. Don't bother bringing your dabbers and pens. Here's what the tablets look like.

It's typically more expensive because there are more tickets on the electronic compared to what's in a standard paper book. I love the electronic bingo because it leaves me free to look around but every once in a while there's just nothing like dabbing and getting those frustrations out!

To anyone, would electronic bingo make you more inclined to play bingo if you're not a regular bingo player?

Definitely like it better. We are so spoiled with better technology and online bingo that when playing locally, paper cards and dabbers seem antiquated.

When i was in the UK i used these type of machines. Yes i paid a bit more but it was well worth it. At least i knew i didn't miss any numbers and it gave me more time to people watch  :P

I guess it was time that bingo suffers a bit of modernisation and electronic bingo seems like a step forward in that direction. Personally, this might help rookie players a lot (it certainly would help me).

Older players however may not all apreciate the change so much, being used to the old way :D

I really like playing electronic bingo. I think it will take away some of the stereo types that surround bingo.

I would like to play electronic bingo, seems to be interesting and that is a nice improvement. I still would like to play old-fashioned bingo, as well.

Every once in a while I still like to dab. You also have to spend a little more. Seems that the electronic bingo machines always offer more cards. That's people who dab would always get so mad when the players with machines won all the time. LOL

If I understood correctly what I read across the web, electronic bingo has a potential to offer virtualy unlimited number of cards. I also read that some machines can offer even 180 cards which seem just too enormous number to handle the old fashioned way. Im sure it isnt cheap either :D

It can get pretty pricey. Depending on what the prizes are that day, the cost per package loaded onto the machine increases. Bingo card packages tend to cost more on weekends at least from I've experienced. Those are the days with larger full house prizes.

It could get very interesting with that many cards and high prices. It could come down to, let's call it a strategy; I mean, we don't have to play with a maximum number of cards every game and if there's a bit longer pause between games, players could actually check tickets and buy more tickets with different numbers. For example; it happens that I have five tickets with one number to go but on the three of them the number is the same so my chances to win are not as high.

Those are just some random thoughts because even with much less cards, pretty much all numbers should be included. 

Well, actually on electronic bingo machines you do have the same number of tickets per game. You don't purchase your tickets for each game you purchase a package ahead of time.

There are usually 10 games within a land based 90-ball bingo session, so say for £18 you get 8 tickets per game on the machine versus 6 in a paper book. For £21 you can get 10 tickets per game and so on.

It all depends on how much you want to spend but whatever it is, you'll get the same number of cards per game throughout the session. It would be cool to put money on the machines and buy as many tickets as you'd like for each game. It would change the whole concept though wouldn't it? The prizes are based on ticket sales before the session starts so the bingo halls would have to change their entire process.

I imagine if that would happen froggy, players would have to deploy some kind of strategy when purchasing those tickets. I just have no idea how that strategy would look like :D When I think about it, nothing really smart comes to my mind.

It would be an extremely interesting concept though ,and most likely it would mean a higher prize pool.
