Anything Monopoly themed grabs my attention. I scrolled through the instant games at 888 Play and there it was. Monopoly Riches was flagged as new. I had to give it a try.
The game loads and it’s a replica of the traditional game board. Choose your piece and choose your bet. I stayed safe with £1. I rolled the die and moved 3 spaces to Community Chest. A card was revealed that advanced me to the Electric Company. Next thing I know 3 light bulbs appear with switches attached. I had to select a switch and hope that it would turn on the light to win. I chose the switch on the right and the bulb popped on winning me £2.
I then rolled a 1 and landed on Rome for a pound. Any time you visit jail you get another roll of the die. I like the instant games compared to scratch cards because there is more of a sense of entertainment. They last a bit longer and require more involvement from the player.
Nearly 30 minutes went by and I was still moving around the Monopoly board and by balance was still intact. I had to start thinking about cooking dinner so I took my last roll.
I landed on Go and won 10x my bet. What a way to end the afternoon. Free Parking would’ve been an even better close to the session but we can’t have it all.
