Many of the ideas that have created such myths exist because of fear. You're spending your hard earned money and there are no guarantees right?
Bingo fact or myth: Playing online bingo means a higher probability that my credit card details will be stolen. This is absolutely not true. This is not to say that your credit card information cannot be comprised but the likelihood that your card number will be ripped off while playing online bingo is just as high whether you used it to buy a sandwich or you deposited at an online bingo site. Surprised? Well, if you think about it, there is always risk when using a card to access your money. With all the fraud schemes today and the involvement of sales people, processors or the gateway of internet access information can become compromised. This is not to discourage players but rather to put your mind at ease. Making your deposits online at a secure site is no more risky than withdrawing money from a cash machine. Higher risk of stolen banking data while playing online bingo versus any other purchase is absolutely 100% a myth.
Bingo fact or myth: The online bingo rooms are filled with computerized players. It would be such a sigh of relief if we could debunk the belief in ghost players but we can't. What we do know is that are programs in existence that will allow operators to plant virtual players in the rooms. When you see the same player win time after time when there is upwards of 400 bingo players in the room, it raises a red flag. It's no wonder this theory came about. On the positive side, the bingo sites would be placing themselves at a great risk to engage in such a practice. All reputable sites are rigorously tested for fairness and are subject to periodic audits so planting fake players would get them in serious hot water. In actuality, they would be shut down in the blink of an eye. As for the case of the ghost player, we would prefer to think not.
The fact of the matter is that as long as online bingo grows in popularity so will the facts and myths. Most importantly, you may proceed with confidence with us on your side and that's a fact. Happy online bingo'ing!

After playing online bingo for several years, I've got to agree that my credit card info is safe. I've made a few deposits, made a few withdrawals, and never has my money been hijacked or my account hacked. One thing you may get is more spam in your email, but here again, I don't think there is any way this is any worse...
After playing online bingo for several years, I've got to agree that my credit card info is safe. I've made a few deposits, made a few withdrawals, and never has my money been hijacked or my account hacked. One thing you may get is more spam in your email, but here again, I don't think there is any way this is any worse for signing up with online bingo sites than it is with most any other site online. Your email address is always a target for marketers and spam. A suggestion to help this, whether playing bingo online or just entering a contest, is to have a few disposable email addresses that you use for these purposes. This helps to keep your everyday email box clean from junk email. As for bots, house players, ghost players, etc. I'm pretty sure they do exist, or have existed in the past. Each time you try a new site you have to get familiar with the players and the site itself. If something doesn't seem right, don't be afraid to ask. There are so many reputable sites to choose from, always use a forum like LBB as an extra layer of protection as you play. Check out the user posts about various sites. Ask others about their experiences. Be informed and remember, always play to have fun. Winning is just the icing on the cake!
