After it filed a trademark application back in August, the Australian land casino group Crown Limited, which planned to go online by launching Crown Casino in England, encountered fierce opposition from the British online bingo operator Crown Bingo and decided to withdraw from the fight for the time being.
According to the latest reports, Crown Bingo now plans to put up a good fight in order to retain its brand. It has been specified by Crown Bingo spokesman Ian Erskine: "They have pulled the online application on the back of the trade mark objection from Crown Bingo.
“We have spent many millions on building the Crown brand in UK, and we don't see why Crown Casino should benefit from that."
