As a kid I can remember learning to play Rummy with a friend. My mother is an excellent player and when she knew that my friend and I could play she asked us to play all the time. Mom always won. She didn’t take it easy on us young girls. She through down her melds all at once. She would hold them until the last second and clear out her hand in the blink of an eye. Through the years I’ve had many opponents at many tables. I downloaded Rummy Royal to meet some new ones.
I kept mom’s strategy in mind. Now that I’m all grown up, I realize that it was a strategy to hold all your cards and throw them down at the last second. I played a few games in fun mode and practice mode to get familiar with the software. Rummy Royal is simple to use and they have several games that you can play such as Rummy, Gin, Kalooki, Canasta and others.
I was feeling confident and I jumped in a tourney. We went head to head with three rounds of Rummy. It was me against another player. I won the first game and had to wonder what was going on. This guy didn’t put down any melds. It was almost like he was letting me win. This was too easy. Before I knew it, I had won all three rounds.
Rummy was a nice change. The software is really easy to use and there is plenty of support for those us that are a bit rusty or don’t know how to play any of the games they offer. I will continue to play at Rummy Royal and I enjoyed reminiscing about all people I’ve sat around a table with.
