YouGov report reveals how important celebrations are in our lives
After appearing on Sky News earlier this week, a reputable online bingo company Bingocams has issued a statement about the report they commissioned with Dr Linda Papadopoulos regarding the role of celebrations in our everyday life. As unusual as it seems for an online gaming company to commission such a research, the results are even more interesting, and most of all, useful to know.
Namely, the YouGov report conducted amongst 4,000 respondents and titled the Celebration Report, claims that a majority of us - 57% feel that those who celebrate more have happier lives. This proves the opinion that celebrating the smaller things in life is of extreme importance nowadays.
According to Dr Linda, “Being able to take pleasure and enjoy the smaller, simpler things in life is a great way to feel happier. We must learn to let go when it comes to celebrating; living moments of happiness fully has been shown to have a positive effect not only on emotional health but on physical health as well.”
In addition, the same amount of people believes that persons with fewer inhibitions have more fun. Yet, as the economic crisis is still roaring, over half of respondents – 55% are financially constrained and cannot celebrate more, whereas 28% of people feel prevented from celebrating by the economic factor.
