Bubble Bingo – Burst of Excitement or Big Let Down?

Bubble Bingo – Burst of Excitement or Big Let Down?

Bubble Bingo has finally landed over at Tombola HQ, but many are questioning why it even made the line-up! You have separate gaming destinations from Britain’s biggest bingo site – the one where you will find unique and exclusive bingo games such as Pirates and Blocks and the other where you find games, hence the name Tombola Arcade.

Slot spinning action, coin flipping fun and bubble bursting excitement are all housed under the one roof, but someone decided it would be a good idea to try and incorporate an arcade game into bingo and the fans are not exactly pleased. So, it’s basically a 30-ball bingo game only with coloured marbles instead of numbers. Tickets range from 10p to £2 and there is one full house prize to be won in each game.

To win, you need to fill your red, green or blue meter with 10 coloured marbles before anyone else. Do that in 14 calls and you win a jackpot of 500x your stake as well as the full house! Tap your stake, buy and confirm to be in the next round. Sit back and watch as those 30 bubbles illuminate and explode to reveal a coloured marble.

It’s Not for Me!

Unfortunately, not everyone is quite as enthusiastic about the new game as Tombola. On launch day, a promotional video was put out on Facebook and while there were manylikes and expressions of love in favour of the new arrival, many couldn’t help commenting on what they thought of the latest game. Karen Butler was open in her dislike: “Unfortunately this game is boring. Just bubbles popping, no caller, no numbers, this game is more for Arcade. I won't be playing it as I do not find it is in keeping with the Tombola bingo which I enjoy.”

Mandy Williams went in all guns blazing with her thoughts: “Very long winded get more for your money on bubble arcade, don't know what you’re thinking Tombola!” Debra Horn added: “Sorry guys this is more suitable for arcade rather than bingo. After a few games I quickly headed back to blocks.”

I love my bingo and I love Tombola, but I find myself siding with a lot of these statements. The game is slow, no atmosphere and has nothing other than the pop of a bubble to entertain you. And yes, it’s more suited to an online casino styled venue. I prefer something a little more exciting with more of an immersive atmosphere, something like Pirates. You have a caller, phrases and animations and lots to keep you occupied.

Tombola have taken on-board the criticism though: “Thank you for leaving your feedback everyone! We find any comments really helpful in development of our new games, best of luck to you in your games!” Have you tried the new bingo game? Or will you be giving it a try?
