Powerball Jackpot Goes to 84-Year-Old Florida Lady
The second biggest lottery jackpot went into the hands of Gloria MacKenzie, an 84-year-old woman from Florida, who beat some crazy odds to get $590.5 million on the Powerball Jackpot.

What makes this win even more remarkable is that a man allowed MacKenzie to go ahead of him when purchasing their quick-pick tickets at a supermarket in Zephyrhills, north of Tampa.

Reportedly, she chose to get her winnings in a lump-sum payment, worth a pre-tax $370.8 million.

In a statement on her win, she said she preferred to stay out of the limelight. "We hope that everyone will give us an opportunity to maintain our privacy for our family's benefit," she was quoted as saying.
