Since the age of 18, 52-year-old Diana Marlow can be found at Banbury's Gala Bingo every Sunday. In fact, her entire family, mum, dad and sister, are also bingo players. Through the years, she's won several times but the largest was £1,200 - until now. As most of us know, link games are tough to win because they include players from across the country. On 4th March, Marlow bought a £1 ticket for a national game and ended up £25,000 richer!
She was interview by the Banbury Guardian and said, "I went as white as a sheet. I had to play the rest of the game and I was thinking, 'Oh my god, I've won some money.'
"I was in shock, total shock. It just hit me. It took three days before it sank in I had won that money.'
She intends to shop for a new car and after enjoying a spending spree, the remainder will go into her bank account.
This past Sunday, Marlow welcomed her second grandchild and was presented with the £25k check along with a bottle of champagne to celebrate.
How does Marlow feel about her bingo club? She said, "I love it, absolutely love going to bingo. It's the atmosphere and the friendly staff.'
