Tidy Bingo first backed British troops just before Christmas 2013. A distress call came from serving troops in Afghanistan whose bingo game looked like going by the wayside for the want of a few simple supplies.
Tidy's generous gifts helped save the game and raised the long history of the British Army and bingo. Tidy had hoped to keep the link going by raising cash to buy some home comforts for the boys and girls protecting us overseas.
Unfortunately the practicalities of keeping in touch with serving front-line troops – there's a hell of a lot of security to think of – has proved too much.
Tidy still wants to give their players the chance to support a cause that is close to their hearts though, and now players can raise cash for Help For Heroes with the popular Tidy and the Troops game.
You'll find Tidy and the Troops in the Tidy Cupboard, a brand new, exclusive room that promises not just great games, but plenty of fun and chat and a real community spirit.
Tidy and the Troops is 100% about the cause. Tidy doesn't take a single penny from the game. Funds from the 25p tickets are split between player prizes - one line for £10, two lines winning £15, and a full house paying £25 – with the rest going to the charity.
Help for Heroes has raised well over £100 million in its short life most of it made up small donations from ordinary people. Tidy players have already managed to hand over about £350.
Help For Heroes is a registered charity, number 1120920, Tidy Bingo's event ID is 2014030700009133. You can see the running total on Tidy's blog and making your own contribution is easy, just head to the site and sign up for the Tidy Cupboard every Tuesday and Friday night. Tidy, we salute you!
