Scientific Games and Colorado Lottery Agree to 6-Year Contract
Scientific Games (SG) and the Colorado Lottery have mutually decided to further extend a partnership that has been in existence since 1983. The two have recently agreed to a 6-year contract, which went into effect on July 1st. The contract addresses aspects such as research and analysis, marketing services, sales, and instant game preparation. Also included in the deal, is the option to extend the agreement for an additional two years. Prior to this arrangement, SG and the Colorado Lottery previously extended their contract back in September 2014.

Lottery director, Laura Solano, commented, "The Colorado Lottery has proudly re-invested more than $3 billion to Colorado's great outdoors, and Scientific Games has been instrumental in helping us achieve our proceeds goals."

"They've been a great partner for more than 30 years, and continue to demonstrate a commitment to the integrity and quality of our Scratch games," continued Solano.

Throughout the years, the companies have proved to be a good team, with instant games sales having grown by 19% from 2011 to 2016, under a previous contract. Other increases were seen in the areas of retail sales and branded instant games.

John Schulz, Senior Vice President of instant products for SG, added, "We have collaborated with the Colorado Lottery to develop a very strong portfolio of instant games, and we are honored to have the opportunity to continue our great work together for another six years. We remain focused on the research and analysis that help us create games Coloradans love, and on the lottery's mission to grow returns to the state for programs that protect its most valuable resources."
