Ziyaad Fathe-Aldeen, a 31-year-old from South Wales won the life-changing sum of £10K a month, every month for a whole year when his numbers came up on the lottery. The shop assistant had only ever played the game once before but decided to try his luck for a second time when serving customers lottery tickets back in November.
Speaking of the win Ziyaad said, “A few of them were buying tickets so I thought I would have a go, and I bought a Lucky Dip. You’ve got to be in it to win it! I gave the ticket to my girlfriend Nicola to keep safe. The next day I was back in work and she came in shaking. She said: ‘I think you’ve won’. I checked the ticket through the machine, and it said I needed to contact Camelot. I was in shock.”
The win has since been confirmed and the first payment(s) made. There’s no hanging around when you win, just fast processing. Plans for the cash include travel plans to Machu Picchu and the pyramids. There’s talk of a world tour too.
Make Every Month Amazing
If real money were no object, what would you do or buy? Set for Life from the National Lottery is a game which aims to make every month amazing. Although Ziyaad won a whopping great sum, the main jackpot is £10K a month, every month for life (which is 30-years)! Imagine that for the rest of your natural. You’d never need to worry about an income again.
There are many lottery games to choose from and they can get a little complicated to understand but playing is easy. Don’t believe me? Take a peek for yourself:
- Pick 5 numbers from 1 to 47 plus 1 Life Ball number from 1 to 10. If you can’t decide, why not go for a lucky dip game?
- Choose your draw days and the number of weeks you want to play.
- Play up to 7 lines of numbers and if you want to maximise your chances of winning, you can buy up to 10 pay slips at a time.
- Keep your fingers crossed for a win.
Tickets cost just £1.50 and with fewer numbers than the EuroMillions or the main Lotto draws, you’ve technically got more chances to win. Tickets for Monday and Thursday draws can be purchased from 6am until 11pm each day, but on draw days, you’ll need to get your tickets in by 7:30pm.
What can you win? A hell of a lot of money that’s what, but how does it compare to the normal Lotto? First of all, you save 50p per ticket compared to the Lotto. Set for Life has 12 fewer numbers than Lotto. Despite being more chances per game, the prizes are a lot less…
…5 main numbers on Lotto bags the winner a cool £1m, whilst 5 main numbers on Set for Life triggers £10K a month for a year – that’s only £120K. Although, 2 numbers will net you a crisp £5 on the new National Lottery game, compared to a free lucky dip on Lotto.

Never played this one but I think it’s worth a shot. I like how there are fewer numbers.
