According to TwinCities.com, a House-Senate conference committee will meet on Tuesday to discuss a gambling bill with the Senate still seeking language to ban online ticket and gas pump sales.
On Monday, Gov. Mark Dayton said he is still unsure whether the bill was meant to protect Minnesota citizens from online gambling or for the protection groups afraid of the effects of competition from the lottery.
"To say you can do it one way but you can't do it another way to me is a little disingenuous," the governor said. "That's simply protecting somebody's financial interest, and I think that's the wrong way to approach it."
