The numbers 18, 26, 34, 38 and 42 and the Lucky Star numbers 5 and 8, made someone in Britain richer by GBP 101 million - the jackpot that is the third largest to be hit by a British player ever. Following Camelot's National Lottery draw, a lottery ticket was drawn on Friday but it is still unknown whether the prize has gone to a single ticket-holder or a syndicate
Historically, in October 2010, an anonymous ticket-holder won GBP113 million, but the largest ever prize was a GBP161 million jackpot won by Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs, Scotland, in July.
"We've got the champagne on ice and look forward to welcoming the ticket-holder into the National Lottery millionaires' club." said a spokeswoman of the National Lottery
According to The Sunday Times Rich List 2011, the lucky winner (if he or she is an individual) would become GBP1 million richer than music legend David Bowie who is the 703rd richest person in UK. Single or not, the position on such a list is going to be another advantage for the lucky ticket-holder(s)!
