It has been announced this week by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation that the World Lottery Association (WLA) has accredited it for its responsible gaming programs, which implies that when it launches online gambling operations for the provincial government next year, its players and visitors can rest assured that it is fully committed to educating staff and empowering the public with responsible gaming knowledge.
In addition, it has been specified that the company is now the fifth gaming operator in North America and one of only 22 in the world to achieve level-four accreditation from the WLA.
According to OLG chairman Paul Godfrey, “We are honored and proud to be recognized for our responsible gaming policies and programs by the World Lottery Association,” which is an international organization representing 142 gaming operators from 90 nations.
The level four accreditation obtained by OLG required a comprehensive report accompanied by a second-party assessment concerning the manner of implementation of the company's responsible gaming programs in regards to player education, employee and retailer training, advertising and marketing and game design.
