There has been quite a bit of talk about Class II gaming. This applies to the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act which can allow Indian Tribes to offer gambling services without the requirement to wait for state or federal government approval.
Especially in California, there have been recent deals related to online poker but Class II gaming encompasses bingo games. We've seen online poker and casino games go live in some states but where's the bingo? Perhaps the popularity of online bingo is not at its peak in the US?
In the UK for example, bingo would likely be on the top of the list of gambling services offered in the face of a gambling prohibition. The game is extremely popular in the land based arena and has exploded since its launch in the online market.
Until legalization occurs in more states, American players will have to indulge in land based bingo games. The loss of several online options has forced bingo fans back into the bingo halls which are far and in between these days. They are not on every corner as they are in the UK. In fact, many of the land based bingo halls have closed around the country.
Do you think a lack of online bingo access may help to boost the land based bingo industry in the US? The land of the red, white and blue just wants to play bingo!
