A collaborative deal signed in January this year between game show producer Amuso, Bonnier Gaming's Cashball bingo company and the NYX Interactive software provider (see previous InfoPowa reports) came to fruition as operations kicked off this week.
The result is a trivia gaming network with embedded bingo client, side games and social networking capabilities. Bonnier Gaming's Cashball is the operating arm, using NYX bingo software Interactive, and the action is built around Amuso's version of the gameshow The Weakest Link.
Affiliate marketing for the site is being encouraged through the provision of mini-games for affiliate sites, and a hefty 50 percent inaugural commission rate.
Back in January 2010 the three companies formed a strategic alliance to create a new gaming experience, initially for the UK, combining their popular game formats and expertise to create a new and different force within the UK online gaming industry. Since then the trio have been occupied in developing a trivia gaming network with an integrated bingo and casino suite based on the NYX account, delivering mainstream appeal and casino gaming in one place.
Going forward, the network will feature major TV quiz show formats to widen the appeal of online cash gaming and attract new players. The Cashball branded bingo network will be syndicated to existing and new media partners.
Amuso is an exclusive producer of online and mobile game shows for the BBC Worldwide and Endemol, and has led industry firsts through distribution partnerships with MTV, News Digital Media, Associated Newspapers, AOL and other leading media companies. The company is backed by Mangrove Capital Partners and several angel investors.
Cashball Limited, a division of the Bonnier Group, is regulated by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, with which NYX is also associated.
