A New Hampshire man was arrested after unsuccessfully attempting to rob a bingo night at a downtown function hall.
A call was made to police at approximately 8:30 p.m. to the Eagle Wing Function Center to report the attempted robbery.
According to Detective Sgt. Kerry Baxter they weren't many details once the man was arrested but he was armed and luckily bingo players or employees of the function center were able to prevent the robbery.
An hour after the call to police, officers were still combing the area for evidence. Most of the cars had cleared the large parking lot while several witnesses made their way to the police department for interviews with police.
Police say no one was hurt.
