‘Eat Out to Help Out’ Offers 50% Off for Bingo Players Too

To help boost the economy, the UK Government introduced an ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme back in July, a scheme that enables you to enjoy a 50% discount on meals and drinks when eating out! The discount is available every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in August and as long as your chosen venue is participating, you’ll benefit from 50% off per person!

There has been some confusion over the scheme with many believing that the offer is available across all businesses offering food, but it’s not! Take-aways, drive-through’s and other fast-food chains do not offer the scheme, only establishments that are a) signed up to offer it and b) you must be dining ‘in’ to qualify.

You don’t need a voucher to save yourself some cash and you can use it at the same time as other offers and discounts too! And, there’s no minimum spend! Use the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme:

  • to get a 50% discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in (up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner)
  • every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 3rd and 31st August
  • as many times as you like!

Save Some Cash

The voucher can only be used towards food and non-alcoholic drinks and will automatically be applied to your bill when paying. Participating establishments may include restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs, work, school canteens, food halls and even bingo clubs!

Yes! Even bingo clubs! And I didn’t even know this until I saw a post from Mecca Bingo on Facebook today, it read; “Don't forget to book your next meal out to support your local Mecca with the Eat Out to Help Out scheme and get 50% off your food and non-alcoholic drink order!

T&Cs apply. Only available if you order at the bar. Not applicable to orders placed through Wi-Q or MAX tablets. Ask in your local club for more details. Max £10 off per person.”

After a little bit of research, I discovered all bingo operators are offering the dine out the scheme from the Government. Yippee! From Mecca Bingo to Buzz Bingo, Castle Bingo to Club3000 Bingo, ordering food and drinks on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesday’s this month will guarantee you qualify for half price offers – per person! How you order may differ from venue to venue, but generally speaking, orders have to be placed at the counter in person.

To find an establishment that’s registered for the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme, you can use the handy tool on the Gov.UK website. Will you be dabbing and grabbing some tasty (half-price) offers this month? You’ve got until August 31st to take part.
