On Tuesday Zynga announced that it's the end of the road for its ever popular bingo game Slingo after just eighteen months of operation. Naturally, this news has come as quite a surprise and has got players and the industry buzzing.
Zynga Slingo has immediately ceased the acceptance of new players and the Facebook version will be removed at the end of the month. There are more than 3 million Slingo Bingo players who may shift to other Zynga brands such as Zynga Poker.
RealNetworks acquired the Slingo brand in July and may be the reason for the decision.
