This is a disturbing tale of bingo where a father is accused of stabbing his son after giving him a ride home from bingo. Kevin Fletcher, 62, is on trial for killing his son, Kevin, a known sex offender, in September 2010.
It is being reported that the father gave him a ride and they sat around drinking coffee. He left the apartment with his son alive.
Kevin Jr.'s body was found the following day by his partner and neighbors. The doors were left unlocked and there was no sign of a break in.
According to council on Kevin Jr.'s behalf, he was a burden to his family which created tension among the family.
A psychiatrist also told the court that Kevin Jr. attacked his in 2009 on Christmas Day. He threatened his father as well as was diagnosed with a personality disorder and depression. In addition to mental health issues, he was believed to be a drug addict and dealer. He also had a sexual related offence conviction and others offences were in the midst of investigation.
The prosecution confirmed that a bloody footprint found at the crime scene matched his father's size. The shoes were not found and the shirt the father provided was not what he was wearing according to CCTV.
