It has been announced this week that Genera Networks has signed up the first lottery operator, the Swedish licensed lottery A-lotterierna, for its regulated bingo network in a deal that will provide A-lotterierna with a full interactive platform solution that includes bingo, instant games and online versions of the successful scratch card brands Femman and Glädjelotten.
The deal is set to last for four years and it will see A-lotterierna's portfolio increased by a number of new products in an attempt to exploit the success of Kombilotteriet for the expansion of sales through a new channel.
The new gaming site should be launched by A-lotterierna early in 2012, thus becoming the first operator to use Genera's BingoFair product, whose technology for the deal will be provided by Microgaming.
It was stated by CEO of Genera Networks Jan Stocklassa, regarding the deal: “A-lotterierna has been a trusted lottery in Sweden since 1956 and for them to choose us as their partner confirms our dedication to provide the best solutions for regulated operators.”
His colleague, Genera Networks COO Maria Sandell specified that “BingoFair allows regulated operators to challenge cross-border competitors by creating larger prize pools, more variety in game play and a range of jackpot possibilities that are impossible to create as a stand-alone operator.”
On the other side, Anders Jansson, CEO of A-lotterierna expressed that “By co-operating with Genera Networks and Microgaming Software Systems we have the possibility to offer our customers unique bingo solutions for the regulated Swedish market. The system also gives us good prerequisites to work with consumer protection, which is an obvious choice for us owned by a popular movement.”
