The Google Play Store has started accepting pay to play gambling apps into its fold, and among the first to be welcomed are multiple bingo sites. The online bingo and gambling community in general have been waiting for this outcome for quite some time now, after Google announced a couple of months ago that it would open its virtual doors to gambling apps.
The decision to include gambling apps in its store, came from Google's decision not to fall behind Apple, whose users were already enjoying access to downloading the apps. A lot of bingo sites are optimized for mobile and tablet access, but functionality of an app surpasses that of a mobile-optimized site in terms of quick loading times, personal experience and appearance.
With that said, the first batch of bingo apps to make their way to the Google Play Store consists of the following names: Gala Bingo, Mecca Bingo, 888Ladies Bingo, bet365, Heart Bingo, Sky Bingo, JackpotJoy, Paddy Power and Tombola. The Gala franchise also brought in its Gala Casino and Gala Spins to the store, while bet365 is already famous for its sports and poker apps. It is expected that more bingo and other gambling sites will follow suit and present their apps to Android users.
Gala Bingo's brand director, Angus Nisbet, stated,"We were really excited when we heard that Google had announced that it would start accepting gambling apps in its store, again. The move has allowed us to create a bespoke android app for GalaBingo.com that contains great graphics and games, which will provide a fun user experience."
