There were tears of shock, joy, and excitement for a lucky bingo player in Kings Lynn recently when she called house on the National Bingo Game. The woman who asked to remain anonymous has been a regular at the bingo hall for many years and has actually won on the popular linked-up bingo game previously, which is why she thought she’d only won the in-house prize, but her friend had some unexpected news…
…she told her that she had won £5000 on top of her winnings for calling in a set number of calls, but as nice as that was, the woman was shocked even further when the caller announced she had won £50,000 on top! The married mother of two who has five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren was enjoying a night out with two friends on Friday, November 29th when her numbers came up.
The lucky winner said: "I have won the National Bingo Game Club Prize before so just expected that prize, but then my friend said I think you won some extra money other than the house price, I said have I? How much? £5,000 she said. Then, James, the caller announced I had won £50,000. I just couldn't believe it and just cried. It's still sinking in really I don't know what to do.”
Hey Big Spender
With that amount of cash sitting in her bank, you’d expect her to take a break from playing bingo games, but this lucky winner has vowed to play on: "I will never forget the day I won, as it was my granddaughter's 18th Birthday too: now she is old enough maybe I will bring her and introduce her to bingo. I used to come with my mum and she played into her 90s and just loved it and so do I. I love my weekly bingo and enjoy dabbing my tickets: it keeps your mind active and if you win it's a bonus."
Club Manager at Ritz Bingo Kings Lynn, Marcus Mott said: "It's great when the club wins a big prize like this on the National Bingo Game as it brings a massive buzz to the club. So many people have been sending messages of congratulations to our lucky winner via our Facebook page. It's lovely when anyone wins, but when it's someone who has been attending their local club for 50 years it's just fantastic."
Alastair Stewart, Business Development Manager at the National Bingo Game said: "We are thrilled for our lucky National Bingo Game £50,000 Jackpot winner at Ritz Bingo Kings Lynn and hope that she and her family and friends enjoy celebrating with her big win. We love making winners and over 126 £50,000 jackpots have been paid out on the National Bingo Game in the past twelve months. We are looking forward to creating many more."`
As of yet, no big plans have been made for the winnings, other than treats for her friends and family.

That’s what you call a surprise win! This is one I play all the time when I’m at my local club and as yet, never managed to win even the in-house prize but I remain hopeful.
