The latest big thing in online bingo is the Mecca Bingo raffles, the new way to win exceptional prizes without the hefty price tag. Entering is as easy as buying a ticket through the website or sending a postcard via Royal Mail, but how do you know when you’ve won? I’ve entered many of the raffles since they went live and never really understood how they contacted winners…until today, when I was congratulated on being a raffle winner!

I’m one of those people who likes to stay on top of their inbox, even the spam section, so imagine my surprise today to find a congratulatory email from Mecca in my spam folder! Why on earth did it go there? All my settings are to allow emails such as this to land in my priority box, or so I thought. My email came with a great big pink sign and the words:

“You won! We’re delighted to inform you that you’re a lucky winner in our raffle…” But what did I win? Was it the £1,500 in wager-free cash, a personal shopping experience or a £200 Uber Eats voucher? No, it was none of those sadly, instead, I’d won one of the runner’s up prizes from the main Uber Eats raffle – 20 spins to be used on Dragon’s Luck Deluxe. Better than nothing I suppose, especially with winnings credited to cash. The main winner was Deanna from Hull, so a big congrats to her.
