There is a part of this American girl that has put me in a UK state of mind……
I have always played the traditional 75 ball bingo being from the US. As a matter of fact that is the only bingo available in these parts. I didn’t discover 90 ball bingo until I started to play online. This is a favorite among the UK players. LCB’s Bingo Moderator “Feelin Froggy” from the US, recently relocated to England and now not only plays 90 ball online but at land based sites as well. Perhaps a part of me went with her. Blame it on my Irish roots or maybe it is my way of staying in touch with her that has made me sentimental for this game. Whatever the reason I have embraced 90 ball bingo…….
Melina Bingo offers 75 ball bingo and 90 ball bingo. With my new found interest in 90 ball bingo, I decided to join the room. The cards were .25 each and if I bought 12 I received two cards free. This was a two part game, one line and two lines were featured. I must admit it took me a minute to adjust to the card style that vastly differs from the 75 ball cards I am use to.
I like the opportunity to have more than one chance to bingo on a card. This gave me more incentive to play. Hoping I had a wee bit of Irish luck I settle in with 15 other roomies. This was one time I really appreciated the auto dab feature. As a fairly new player of this kind of bingo, the auto dab led me by hand as a newbie.
I started out really well with the numbers and quickly filled up my cards. Before I realized it I needed one number on two cards. 33 or 48 would make me a winner of the one line bingo. I suddenly wished I had a shamrock or a leprechaun for a lucky charm. Could being Irish be enough to win……..
On call 26 it is like bagpipes to my ears as the caller says 48!!! I yell bingo from my kitchen chair!! Some habits you just can’t break. I won a cool $11.47 and couldn’t be happier.
Between my Irish roots and Feelin Froggy’s new home in England I was destined to win. I suppose there is something to be said about a sentimental fool.
