According to the latest announcements from the UK-based Mandalay Media Group, it has ventured into a new project, which involves a proprietary bingo software platform launched under a new company Mandalay Gaming Holdings Ltd (Mandalay Gaming), as well as a new bingo brand Xbingo.com which will be the first one on the platform.
In addition, the company's four other brands, Costa Bingo.com, Sing Bingo.com, City Bingo.com and Fancy Bingo.com will remain on the UK-oriented Dragon Fish / 888 software.
In regards to the new product, it was specified by a company spokesperson that the Beta testing phase was conducted through a Facebook campaign, and that it involved some 5 000 players who tested the capabilities of the system without any real money being played.
According to Richard Skelhorn, co-founder Mandalay Gaming Holdings, "We knew if we wanted to attack the international market we needed a very strong cutting edge software product that could cope with the demands of an audience highly skilled in social media. Remember, when the online bingo industry first evolved social media was virtually unheard of, now we see it as key to our business.
"Ambition is high, we are a competitive company and we want to play at the top of our game, with Xbingo.com we believe we have an opportunity to make a noise in new and exciting markets."
