Set for Life is the latest new game from The National Lottery and the top prize is worth £10K a month for 30-years to the winner(s). Sylvia 42, and her husband Gavin 40, are the latest winners to scoop the top prize after matching all five main numbers drawn and the Life Ball and the win was certainly purrfect timing for the pair.
Recently, Sylvia the London-based catering manager received the devastating news that their 13-year old rescue cat Phangan needed extensive (and expensive treatment) which would have put a strain on their savings, but as soon as the win was confirmed, so too was the vet appointment.
Sylvia said; “Earlier in the week, we were advised Phangan needed an expensive veterinary treatment which was going to put a serious dent in our savings. Within seconds of the win is confirmed, Phangan’s vet appointment was too.”
With Sylvia, Gavin and the cat now ‘Set for Life, the married couple decided to work on their bucket list but before even treating themselves, Sylvia started looking into ways to help other people with her new-found fortune, starting with the local homeless shelter. A total of 20 sleeping bags were donated to a homeless shelter to help those affected by the cold winter nights.
Plans for their future lottery winnings include adventure trips abroad and tickets for sportsbook events but their main goal is to move to France to set up a business.

It’s great to see winners helping those less fortunate, especially at this time of the year.
