Television and movie star Barbara Windsor has a new role after being signed up as 'Queen of Bingo' by the Jackpot Joy online bingo group.
The famous actress stars in a new multi-million pound sterling advertising campaign launched this week by the bingo group and featuring a return of Windsor's trademark 'Carry On' series giggle for the first time in sixteen years.
The new advert premiered on ITV1 and will run throughout the rest of 2010 on satellite and terrestrial channels, a company spokesman confirmed.
Jackpot Joy is the leading brand of the Gamesys Group founded in 2001 to provide online bingo, casino and instant win games to a worldwide audience using proprietary gaming software. The bingo firm now boasts a player base of some 3 million punters and pays out in excess of GBP 90 million every month.
In 2006 the group was named No. 1 in the Microsoft/Sunday Times Tech Track 100 League Table, and it has appeared four times since on the list - one of only four companies to do so.
