The raid took place at 1pm at 206 Rescia Av when investigators took on person into custody and faces charges for two misdemeanors. One count is for promoting gambling and the other for possession of a gambling machine on the property. The suspect posted a $2,000 bond and was later released.
Natalie Barton, Department Spokesperson said the undercover officers went to Center State to verify the illegal activity.
"We have worked hard, along with other law enforcement agencies, to enforce Alabama laws that state electronic gambling devices are illegal," Entrekin said in a statement. "And until those laws are changed, we will continue to do so."
Entrekin recently denied a permit for electronic bingo in a $200 million bingo development for CBS Supply. Legalizing the machines appeared promising until the final hours when he declined to issue the permit.
