We have seen a slight glimmer of hope for America as a whole with Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey passed a bill to legalize it.
There are 9 more states including: California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi and Pennsylvania that are up for consideration.
Las Vegas billionaire Sheldon Adelson, is responsible for funding a campaign to ban the legalization of internet gambling.
On the other hand Caesars Entertainment was the largest group to lobby legalized Internet gambling at the federal level.
While legalization of online gambling appears to open up the virtual doors in some states there are still restrictions. The door is cracked partially open with complicated restrictions that still stifle the American player's complete freedom.
There won't be complete happiness until every state including on a federal level passes legalization. Lifting limitations so that all forms of gambling are permitted as it formerly was before 2006 is the primary desire for all gamblers in this region.
Players who have a passion for Bingo, Casino, Sports betting and Poker should not be denied one for the other because state law doesn't permit it.
At the end of the day does it really makes sense? It's hard for the average gambler to wrap their heads around it all. We may be allowed to place wagers in one division but we are denied in another.
Is there a method to this type of madness? If online Casinos become legal it will be ok to spin on your favorite Slots yet the Bingo player isn't allowed to play Slots at an online Bingo site.
The Poker player is allowed to enter a tournament yet can't place a wager on their favorite sports team because of restrictions.
Gambling is gambling no matter how we look at it and being controlled as to what the US player is allowed to play defies all logic.
On a positive note although slow, legalization is moving forward in the right direction. Each baby step taken is one giant step closer to complete gambling freedom as a nation.
Something is perhaps better than nothing. And as we have all pretty much maintained a similar opinion since 2006, it's essentially a matter of time before our freedom is back in full swing.

it seems america is heading forward when it comes to online gambling whereas australia seems to be going backwards coz in last few months countless number of online bingo and casino sites have banned australia from playing at their sites due to the restricted regulations that have been enforced.
