Cancer – or the big 'c' as it’s sometimes referred to, is an awful disease that affects so many people worldwide. Scary statistics show that 1 in 2 people will be affected by cancer at some stage in their life and I know too well how devastating it can be. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014; after gruelling chemo, radiotherapy and a double mastectomy, she fought and won! On February 4th, it’s World Cancer Day and to mark this occasion, LoadsABingo and its sister sites are coming together to raise vital funds for the 1993-founded charity, Against Breast Cancer.
The special event will be hosted by Red in the Royal Room – the 90-ball bingo room, to raise money for the charity. Against Breast Cancer funds pioneering research into new treatments, tools for earlier diagnosis and advice to reduce the risk of recurrence and secondary spread. Working with expert scientists they want to increase the survival rates of all breast cancer patients and ultimately, discover a vaccine against breast cancer.
It All Adds Up:
If you wish to take part in this networked bingo session, you can get in on the action from 8pm until 10pm – that’s two whole hours of fun, where tickets cost just 1p each. Every penny spent in the room (on bingo tickets) will go straight to the charity, but not only that – LoadsABingo (and sister sites) will match it! So, if you were to buy 96 tickets at 96p, your 96p will go straight to the charity along with another 96p from the bingo site(s). If you play for the whole session (20 games) and purchased the maximum of 96 tickets into each game, that would mean you alone would raise £38.40p for this worthy cause...
