The Finnish state-owned gaming operator, Veikkaus, has revealed that a deal has been finalised between them and International Game Technology (IGT), which will see a great new range of products available to their customers and this will be achieved via the IGT PlayBingo platform.
The four-year signed deal comes with a two-year extension and will replace the operators previous bingo provider and bring a range of products to the mobile and desktop devices of the masses, including bingo roulette as well as branded content, games which can be customised plus back-office tools such as marketing and product support.
Signed Sealed and Delivered:
Declan Harkin, the senior vice president and chief operating officer at IGT’s international business unit, said: “Based on our experience in WLA markets in Europe and North America, PlayBingo has proven to be a significant factor in player acquisition and player retention, while driving growth across our customers’ entire suite of digital product offerings.”
Mr Harkin concluded with: “By adding the new PlayBingo platform to its programme, Veikkaus is once again demonstrating its position as one of the most technologically advanced lotteries in the world, and as an operator committed to responsibly entertaining its players.”
But this isn’t the first collaboration between the two companies. IGT currently supplies Veikkaus with its core lottery central system – a deal which was struck three decades ago in 1989. Not only that, but IGT’s online casino content via the PlayCasino platform and land-based games are already available to the operator.
It’s already been a busy year for the operator after confirming SBTech would be providing their new sportsbook products, plus Swedish software provider NetEnt have agreed an online casino deal to grow iGaming revenues. A new series of controls have also been announced which will step up Veikkaus’ player protection.
About IGT:
The supplier is renowned globally for their slots; from Golden Goddess to their MegaJackpot titles. Headquartered in the US, the operator started out as a supplier of land-based gaming terminals but quickly joined forces with a rival games developer- WagerWorks in 2005 and entered into the online gambling sector.
A few short years later (in 2008), IGT entered into the mobile gaming arena in Manchester, UK. A consolidation of core gaming products came in 2008 and this resulted in one interactive division spread over many offices across the globe, including Nevada (USA), Gibraltar, the UK and China.
Innovative gaming is what this company does best and they achieve this via innovative gameplay and engaging content. It has conquered the global market through multilingual games and the acceptance of many different currencies. World famous titles owned by the software giant include Wheel of Fortune on Tour (based on the television gameshow), the enchanting Pixies of the Forest, Siberian Storm and the dazzling Da Vinci Diamonds.
