Buzz and Mecca Bingo Reopening: Free Snacks & £2m Prize Pools

The day we have all been looking forward to for a (very!) long time is almost upon us, the day when we get to go back to our local bingo hall to play bingo and enjoy great company! And to celebrate this monumental occasion, two bingo operators are pushing the boat out with welcome back offers, and one of which includes an appearance from a well-loved celebrity! You could even go as far as saying both are introducing a ‘blast from the past’ with one highlighting 60-years of high-street bingo and the other by enlisting the help of former pop girl group singer – Coleen Nolan.

Mecca Bingo (Taunton) is celebrating 60-years of being a part of British towns and cities this month and as soon as those doors fling open on the 17^th, prices of tickets will be slashed to just 60p, the price of a game in the 1960’s! But that’s not all, as well as super books for pennies, an enhanced prize pool of £2million will be up for gabs in May alone! That’s £1million a week!

New Bingo Buzz

All 91 Buzz Bingo clubs will also welcome back bingo players from May 17^th, having been closed for more than four months. They too will be celebrating by offering a completely free tea or coffee and a sausage or bacon breakfast roll to all customers between 10am and 11am on the day of reopening. The reason for this offer is quite simple, they recently carried out research and the statistics revealed some 4 in 10 pensioners have gone more than 10-months without face-to-face contact, so it’s very much a social offering.

Other statistics revealed 63% of pensioners now feel far safer to go and play bingo since having the vaccine, while 59% of us Brits are excited to get back to bingo halls. To help support colleagues in the lead-up to the big opening day, Buzz Bingo have enlisted the help of Coleen Nolan who said she has always had a love for bingo so was only happy to help. One club in particular – Buzz Bingo’s Fenton Club, will welcome Coleen onto the stage on the grand re-opening to host her very own game of bingo!
