A Mecca Bingo club in Nottingham has hit the news recently after not one, but two of their customers bagged a £15,000 jackpot on the National Game. The chances of this happening are pretty slim, but the lucky duo one a large cash sum within a week of each other. The National Bingo Game is a linked-up bingo game which is played across the entire Mecca Bingo Network each day and there’s a chance that the winnings can reach a top prize of £50,000.
After winning, the two lucky players asked to remain anonymous. The most recent winner at the Beeston branch of Mecca Bingo called house on the number 62 and took home a cash prize of £15,750. Speaking to local press, the winner said: "I can't put it into words, and it doesn't feel real. I’m planning on putting the money towards moving house – the win couldn’t have come at a better time."
The general manager at the club, Rob Lees said: "It was great to see such a longstanding member of our club step up and claim the life-changing prize. I still don’t think it has sunk in. To witness someone who has been so dedicated to the game win a £15,000 jackpot was really special – the whole club was delighted, and it really added to the atmosphere of the night."
The Game:
The popular 50-ball bingo game features no line – just a full house and each ticket provides six chances to win. A single ticket will cost £2 or three will cost £5. There are in-house prizes to be won if you can’t call house in the stated ball count, but if you can, you can win the following:
- Call in 24 numbers or less to win £100
- Call in 20 numbers or less to win £1000
- Call in 16 numbers of less to win £50,000!
