Is it too early to mention Christmas? Dang, I just did! No but seriously, is mid-November too soon to be thinking of wrapping gifts while festive tunes play out? If you’re answer is yes, I won’t even mention the tree! I’m from a very big (close-knit) family and each year, I’m known for popping up the decs early and bringing on that good old festive cheer, but this year, I\m just not feeling it – yet!
I’ve finished my Christmas shopping though; half is wrapped and the other half has been laying on my bedroom floor for what seems an eternity now. Is it just me or are people getting harder to buy for? It costs me an absolute fortune each year when it comes to gifts, what with so many kids in the family. Teens get cash – it’s easier, the little’uns get toys and the adults get what they ask for (within reason!). From Michael Kors perfume (at £90 a bottle!) to a Lazavva coffee machine (at £125!), the gifts certainly don’t come cheap!
I’ve a motto when it comes to present planning…
… ‘if they don’t like, they don’t get,’ but lucky for me everyone is pretty straight-forward with what they like (even if it is expensive taste!).
