In 1998, Bill Morgan, a 37-year-old from the US struck gold when buying a scratchcard, but he would later go on to strike it lucky yet again several years later, but what makes this true-life story so amazing is that he also experienced a miracle.

…Twenty-four years ago, Bill suffered a heart attack and it was a pretty bad one. He spent a total of 15 days in a coma after his heart stopped for almost 15-minutes. His family were advised to switch off his life support. Miracle one came when he woke up from that coma and a year later he got himself a new career and a fiancé.

Miracle two came when he decided to buy a $5 scratchcard – he’d only gone and won a $30K Toyota Corolla! Miracle 3 came when big media outlets picked up on Bill Morgan’s story, how a man defied all the odds to not only come back to life after 15 minutes of death and 15 days on life support, but to win a brand new car too!

Australia’s Nine News decided to cover this totally amazing story which involved him going back to the very store he purchased the winning scratchcards from years earlier. While filming, Bill was told to buy a scratchcard to make it look real…

…he walked up to the counter, purchased his scratchcard and in front of the camera he turned and said, “I just won $250,000!” The cameraman replied: “good joke!” But it wasn’t! Bill collapsed against the shelf there and then when he realise he had won a life-changing prize! He said: “I'm not joking, and all of a sudden it hit me like a tonne of bricks."

The video is available to watch online and has amassed more than 2 million views. It literally shows the man calling up against the shelf in amazement! It’s strange to watch!

In a sad twist, Bill has revealed he has battled a series of heart problems since the double win, and has not had any luck since the 90’s. He also recently lost his brother-in-law and nephew. Despite all this he is over the moon at being married for more than 20-years, living in his own house and driving his own car! “Every day I get up and put on my shoes, and even if I'm not really well I have a shuffle down the road and smell the roses, look at the sun and think about how lucky I am,” he concluded.
