On June 21, 2025, Mecca Bingo held the grand final of its third National Cross-Channel Slots Tournament, welcoming players from across the UK to its Beeston club. With a £25,000 prize pool, including a £10,000 top prize, the event brought together Mecca’s online and in-club customers, as well as fans of the gaming community.
A Historic Venue and a Competitive Atmosphere
This was the first time Mecca’s Beeston venue hosted the event, following a significant investment in 2024. The players who reached the grand final had qualified through a series of online and in-venue rounds at Mecca Bingo’s locations. With the backdrop of a glamorous drinks reception, the competition kicked off with intense head-to-head knockout rounds.
The atmosphere was electric as players battled it out for a share of the prize pool. The winner, who requested to remain anonymous, claimed the £10,000 top prize. The player, who was both an online participant and a regular visitor to Mecca’s Burton-on-Trent club, triumphed with skill and luck.
Celebrating Success and Looking Ahead
After the thrilling conclusion at 11 PM, the participants and their guests enjoyed overnight accommodations, goodie bags, and additional bingo sessions. Other top players were also rewarded with healthy cash prizes—quarter-finalists earned £1,000, semi-finalists took home £2,000, and the runner-up won £5,000. The evening marked the successful culmination of yet another exciting tournament season for Mecca Bingo.
Robert Lee, Mecca Bingo’s head of Play Online Bingo Games, expressed his delight in the event’s success, noting the importance of such tournaments in bringing online and in-club communities together. He also mentioned the anticipation for their next tournament in November.
