National Bingo Week Returns With UK-Wide Celebrations in June

National Bingo Week is underway across the United Kingdom, bringing together bingo clubs, online operators and players for seven days of promotions, special events and prize opportunities dedicated to one of the country's most popular games.

The 2026 edition runs from Monday, June 22 through Sunday, June 28, marking the first full National Bingo Week after several years of growth since the initiative first launched as National Bingo Day in 2021.

What began as a single-day celebration has gradually expanded into a week-long event that now involves bingo venues and online platforms from across the UK. Organisers say the event aims to celebrate the social and entertainment value of bingo, whether players participate in traditional clubs or through online bingo rooms.

National Bingo Day debuted on June 27, 2021, during a period when the industry was still dealing with the effects of the pandemic. Despite those challenges, the event attracted widespread participation from clubs and online bingo brands. According to organisers, more than 88% of UK online bingo sites joined the inaugural celebration.

In the years that followed, additional operators became involved, helping transform the event into the National Bingo Week format being used today.

A Week Dedicated to Bingo Across the UK

Unlike many industry promotions that focus exclusively on either online or retail activity, National Bingo Week includes both sectors.

Participating clubs and online bingo operators have aligned behind the initiative, offering players a variety of activities throughout the week. Organisers note that while the experience may differ depending on the venue or website, the core game remains familiar.

Electronic bingo can be played both online and in clubs, while traditional paper-ticket bingo remains a feature of land-based venues.

Players can identify participating operators through the official National Bingo Week branding. The logo is reserved for clubs and websites that have formally joined the initiative.

Special events and promotions vary by operator. Each participating company runs its own offers under its own terms and conditions while remaining subject to applicable gambling regulations.

Industry Event Continues to Grow

National Bingo Week has become one of the most visible annual celebrations within the UK bingo sector.

The event brings together operators, players and local communities while highlighting both retail and online bingo products. Organisers say participation continues to expand as more brands join the initiative each year.

The week also provides operators with an opportunity to introduce special promotions, enhanced prize pools and themed activities designed to attract both regular players and newcomers.

As bingo continues to maintain a strong presence across both digital and land-based channels, National Bingo Week serves as a focal point for the industry and its player community.

Buzz Bingo Among Operators Marking the Occasion

One of the operators taking part in this year's celebrations is Buzz Bingo, which has launched a week-long programme of promotions running from June 22 to June 28 across its clubs, website and mobile app.

The operator's headline events include the £100,000 Big One game, scheduled for 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 27. The online event features £100,000 in total prize money, including a £75,000 Full House prize.

Buzz Bingo is also hosting its £250,000 National Bingo Game on Sunday, June 28, during the 7 p.m. Main Event session at its clubs. The company says the £250,000 top prize is guaranteed to be won.

Additional activities throughout the week include "3 is the Magic Number" sessions in the Big Money Live format, where players can receive double prize money if a Full House is called on 3 or 33. Another promotion, "Break the Bank," takes place during evening live bingo sessions and gives participants the chance to unlock jackpot prizes by entering the correct four-digit code.

Club visitors can also take advantage of the operator's £3 Week promotion, which includes discounted sessions and selected food and drink offers.

The promotions illustrate how individual operators are using National Bingo Week to engage players while contributing to the wider industry celebration taking place across the UK.
